About symposium
The International Symposium Computational Civil Engineering started in 2003 at the initiative of prof. Constantin Ionescu, president of „Matei Teiu Botez” Academic Society IASI.
Annually, in Iasi, in the Civil Engineering area, four scientific meetings: „COMPUTATIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING”, „HIGHWAY AND BRIDGE ENGINEERING”, „CREAŢII UNIVERSITARE” and „REALIZĂRI STUDENŢEŞTI” are organized within the faculty.
National and international symposia, became traditional. They are held annually and are expected with interest by the academic community in Romania, as well as by friends from other countries.
Over the years, the events have collaborated with valuable studies specialists from several universities in the country and abroad, like: Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest - Romania, Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona - Spain; National University of Colombia; Medellin - Colombia, University of Genoa, Genoa - Italy; University of Pavia, Italy, Technical University „Politehnica” of Timişoara – Romania; Technical University of Münich, Germany; Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Technology, Brno - Czech Republic; VSB-Technical University of Ostrava - Czech Republic; Technical University of Wroclaw – Poland; Faculty of Civil Engineering, Technical University of Kosice – Slovakia; University of Bologna – Italy; Technical University of Cluj-Napoca - Romania etc.
